We began as an Instagram account in 2016 and have since grown to include a popular blog with 50K unique monthly viewers and an active community of 88K on Instagram where our hashtag #melaninbasecamp has been used over 50K times. We’re also proud to be the founding member of the Diversify Outdoors Coalition. We’re not only writing news about diversity in the outdoors, we’re in it!
